I passed near here and saw signs of conflicts, I posted on to the father "about", the medlands track.
I cleaned up the situation a little by assigning the parents of the 4 son listed on it.

it seems to me to understand that there is nothing serious, only when a line is merged with a single, the system wants to know manually if then the sons are children of the couple or of the single .. and therefore puts signals of conflict everywhere not even it was a bomb :D (visible only on the second pass:)

I repeat I have fixed only the 4 known by medlnads, I leave you to finish other 1 conflict and 2 new profile, maybe you also leave the source you are following... let me know if you need help :)

Is sufficient click SET parents on the conflict screen :D
[(if you sure wright parents) I would have already done it if I knew what sources you are following]
but now You have to merge whit this: Raso VI Sr. van Gavere , Chièvres Liedekerke

All OK? will I call a Dutch(C)? :D

I have all the 4 books " The Flemish nobility before 1300 " from dr Hist. E. Warlop.
In that book he says that Sophia and Mary are also doughters of Razo VI and Sophia of Breda

I will post a picture of the passages out of the book, then you can read them :-)

Good, I see that @Carl has merged and solved the banal conflict :)

[Geni has an excellent document loading system, for example loading a "scan" and then you can "TAG" it on all the profiles involved, without having to recharge double, triple, etc (also the photos) and leaving a trace of what source one has followed, is a good habit]

I was only passing sideways here, you have a good team work :D

Hi Joke,
I also have the Warlop set, no need to post photos, I'm doing that in the overview, just point out the issue. We're working on the whole tree, it's most complicated so I'm in and out of every profile many times. I try to note that a profile is a work in progress hoping that it avoids the awkward comments seen above.

Carl is collaborating and has full oversite on this effort, any duplicates created will be merged before we complete and the overview section for each profile will contain the sources, Warlop being primary to 1300 with support by many others. Regarding the reference to Medlands, while we don't disregard Mr. Cawley, his input on this family is completely different from Warlop, he also has a completely different numbering system. Also, I wanted to let you know that I've encountered a couple of profiles where you have added an image from Warlop and I've removed the image from the profile photo but not deleted it, it remains in the media tab where it can be enlarged and read. I've also developed the plan where the Warlop images of seals have a place in the overview section of the profile for which they support. A few of them require an explanation for clarity that they could not receive as a profile photo.

This is a work in progress and cleaning up a work in progress may confuse the larger picture we are dealing with. WE are rebuilding the van Gaver family of over 600 profiles and intermediate changes not managed by the curator or assigned managers can cause a great deal of confusion.

I would appreciate your research on this Rasse "de Oude" as there have been numerous internet attempts to simplify this genealogy with the use of suffixs not used in history, and "de Oude", "de Jonge", "l'Aine" have all been used to the confusion of all. WE are working on clarifying this issue.

The back story for your information is: a Rasse had a brother also named Rasse both of whom were sons of a father named Rasse. All three fought in the battle of Bouvines, which was at that time in the county of Flanders. This Rasse was killed in battle on July 27, 1214. His brother died in 1241 (notice the similarities in the dates, easily conflated) and, as a historical coincidence, he died in Bouvines!, the site of the 1214 battle, which by 1241 was in Nord, France (Frankirk) due to the constant fluctuations of the border between Flanders and France during this period.

Hard research that we can cite please.
