Also in the tree, Hon. William Alexander, 2nd Earl of Stirling died as a child around 8 years old. I have fixed his inaccurate dates and disconnected children John Alexander, Janet Henderson and his supposed wife Christiane Gullane.

Furthermore, there is no proof that John Alexander is the son of Hon. John Alexander of Gartmore. It seems that in the past John Alexander was attached as the son 1st Earl of Stirling and after being detached somehow made his way back into the tree as his grandson.

I just wanna let you know that I am actual descendent from that Alexander family. The city of Alexandria Virginia was founded or named after my ancestral Family. I was told that these Alexanders were descendent from the Earl of Sterling however the Earl of Sterling has listed that he had no descendants and the line went extinct. But a lot of lords left England and started off in the new colonies under a different persona or profile to escape being taxed or acquiring the taxes of their fathers after they past. The Alexander’s are one example of my family tree Reverend David Stewart is another example on the family tree. My Smith ancestry were somehow hooked up with the Lord Strangfords Sydney Smith ect. Also another good example is Colonel Richard the immigrant Lee. And my own ancestors came out of Bristol in England going back as far as 1613 but the speculation right now is that I am a descendent somewhere with Katherine Bolin and her husband I believe it was Henry Carey or Robert Carey I get them confused. But if you look up my Foote Family tree. You will see my Alexander’s. Not the ones link to James Monroe. I’m related to James Monroe through the Graysons

Maybe you will be able to make a connection with the said lords or second sons.

This might be as bad a mess as this couple's listing at several other websites.
I had an entire "Erskine" line taken off "my" ( folks, we share these people. We each have 4 grandparents, but when you go back to "my 8x grandparent", we each have what, a thousand and something?) tree, then Janet Erskine shows up. With THIRTY FIVE children. That's impossible.
So if I insist something is true, but can't prove it, or it turns out that was Family Lore, which happens often? I need to find proof, or be reconciled to the fact that nope, I'm not a Great Granddaughter of a Cherokee Chief. (My actual family lore that *I* found was not true, & probably will have some cranky family because of) But TRUTH matters. Lives matter. Connections are so great to make, so let's fig and find truth, and be generous in helping each other. It works so much better that way.
I had to get all stern with a 16th cousin who was attaching my LIVING family to a public tree, it was BAD. Like I threw up bad. I tried writing a polite, friendly note & was called a liar. Grr. So sometimes we have to fight. But fight for your Grandmother, who you know. Or an ancestor you can prove. And yes, you CAN work with the Aristocracy. A Lord isn't monarchy, correct, Bruce?
