Geni Privacy Algorithms

Looking at some Profiles imported in April with birth in the 1880's and no death date. No edit changes since imported (per revision tab).
These are shown with a dotted black band, meaning they are officially living, but Geni believes they are deceased. And they are Public.

If I go to edit, balls show Public and Living.
if I click the ball to make deceased, ball for Privacy Status changes to Private.

Geni's Privacy algorithms should be consistent.

When a GedCom is imported to Geni, if there is no death date, the imported profile is created as living, even if the original was set as deceased. Perhaps this is the result of an attempt to fix that. BUT it makes no sense to have a Profile born in the 1880's Public if the Living Status is wrong and it is marked still living, and change to Private if the Living Status is corrected.
