Correction: Ludwig Walther's wife Kathelena is Kaetchen Ross.

She is the daughter of Friederike or Fanny Loeb and Abraham Ross of Gommersheim.

Thanks, Jeff. I believe there's even a headstone at Gurs. 1950 might be the date the headstones were planted. I'm not sure if Rudolph was ever married to Elise. Do you know if he died in Gurs? The only information I've found, had him living in Schwegenheim when Elise was packed off.

Arthur was living with his cousin Selma Walther Simon and with her family Ludwig and Kaetchen Walther at the 19040 census.

Ludwigs parents are given as Gottlieb Walther and Carolina Stahl, but All I can find on Elise Walther have her parents as Gottlieb and Babette--so maybe they are half cousins.

If you google "Edgar Stern" + "peppermint train" under Images, there's a couple of pictures of Edgar four years ago at age 89.

I found the marriage of Elise Walther to Heinrich Rudolph Oehlbert occurred in Schwegenheim on Oct 17, 1900. They were divorced Nov. 26, 1911 in Zweibrucken.

Edgar Stern died July 17, 2023--2 days before his 96th birthday.
