Thomas Griffin, Free Settler "Brittania" 1791 1791-1811 and Sophia Griffin are currently in Geni as the parents of Anastasia Cronin born in 1829 Ireland.

Thomas arrived in Australia in 1791 and married Sophia in Australia in 1810 and died in Australia in 1811 so can not have fathered a child born in 1829 in Ireland

I will detach Anastasia from them.

Anastasia Cronin married Patrick (Cronan) Cronin, Convict “Blenheim” 1839 in 1840 in Australia but they are showing as parents of a son Martin Cronin, {Australian Immigrant} 1854 born in 1840 when Anastasia was only 11 and Patrick 22.

Both Anastasia and Patrick were from Ireland, whilst son M was born in England.

What evidence supports him being the son of Anastasia and Patrick?

* William CRONIN 1854-1921 married Amelia KENNELLy 1857-1917
* Mary Bridget CRONIN 1857 died 1858
* John Joseph CRONIN 1860-1919 married Margaret GAULT
* Ellen GURRIN CRONIN 1864-1908 married Frederick Moffat GURRIN
* George Martin CRONIN 1866-1945
* Michael Stephen CRONIN 1870-1937 married Elizabeth HUNTER
are Martin CRONIN 1828-1876 (son of John CRONIN 1805-1870 and Hannah O'LEARY 1805-1866) and Ellen LAHIFF 1826-1876 (daughter of Michael LAHIFF and Bridget McNAMARA)
