I note that there is currently no death date recorded for Augustus Hemingway. I also note that his (circa) DoB is in the same year as Guy Hemingway, his brother. I was aware of two children from James (Father) and Sarah (Mother) Hemingway, but not of this third child.
I speculate that perhaps Augustus was a twin brother to Guy, and may have died young, as both Guy and Ida are buried in Cromwell Church grave yard which is opposite the house where Guy and Ida lived. I am not aware of Augustus also being in the grave yard. When the weather improves I might take a look for him, the grave yard is quite small.

Hello again Grant,

You got me searching back into the records. I knew I wouldn't have put him in there, if there hadn't been a record somewhere. So I checked back through the records, and all I can find of him is the 1901 National Census records in which he is listed, aged 1, living with his parents in Beeston, and with his sister Ida, aged 4. But NO mention is made of Guy in that census. I've updated the notes on his record to reflect that. But there is no birth or death or baptismal record for him that I've been able to find. So it remains a bit of a mystery. Watch this space! ....

I hadn't spotted this anomoly till reading this thread. I am confident that Guy Yeoman Hemingway born 30 Jun 1899, bapt 25 Oct 1899 (Beeston St John the Baptist) and who died 11 Apr 1986 is the person who is listed in the 1901 census as Augustus G Hemingway at 19 Meadow Road, Beeston.

I agree that there does not appear to be any birth, bapt, marriage, death or burial for a matching Augustus (G) Hemingway.

Sadly, it is a very long time since I recorded what information I have about Guy Yeoman Hemingway and at that time I did not cite references for data - my apologies. However, I have just checked and note that the date of death is supported by the Probate Records.
