At first glance it caught my attention that both his mother and wife are named Mary Turner, as currently connected. When I see that kind of thing, I always question it and look to see if it's documented to be true. In this case, I found on Ancestry that the SAR application shows his wife is, in fact, Mary Turner but that his mother was Mary Thorpe and I've attached a copy of that under the Media tab.
