Mary Irwin Adams has no record of a middle name of Jane. Her daughter was named Mary Jane. There previously was an error in recording her gravestone that included the name of Jane, but that error has been corrected. The 1850 US census of Shenango, Mercer County, Pennsylvania clearly indicates by written entry that Mary was born in Delaware. The 1856 Iowa census inferred only by the use of ditto marks that Mary was born in or from Pennsylvania. I am a direct descendant of Mary and have had a DNA test. I also have family information that was passed down from generations.
