I have read that Anne Brown was Sir Richard Haughton's mistress before they were married and they had illigitimate children while he was married to Alice Morley. That Evan Houghton of Great Carleton b 1530 and Richard Houghton of ParkHall,Preston b 1534 were the illigitimate kids of anne Brown, who he later took as his 4th wife.
