Are both husbands and all these children correct? No sources. Each of these Smart matches show one husband or the other but I don't see one with both listed.
Mother of William Jones; John Jones; Solomon Jones; Mary Polly Jones; Richard Jones; Milly Jones; Abner Jones; William Jones; Sarah Weekley McDonald (Jones); Col. George Hancock, US Congress; Matthew Hancock and Mary Frances Bunch (Hancock)

This list of children includes two sets of similarly named siblings:

Rev. William Jones and William Jones
and

Mary “Polly” Bunch and Mary "Polly" Howard

Please check.
Also, a son who is a Congressman but the profile is not curated.

Sorry. Rather, the Mary married Paul III. Not Paul. I only see Keith as a wife of Paul, son of David.

I haven't found much conssistency in these lines and their connections on any site. Few have any sources and the ones that do often don't include all the children, etc. VERY challenging lines to work on.

I don't use SmartMatches as that's just tree matches from My Heritage and prone to erorrs like any tree. Maybe the errors match. lol

Revert the display name please.

The book page is not either of them and this George died in Kentucky.
Where is the marriage record for them?

I see 100% this Mary Whitlock married this William Jones.
I don't see she is the same as the wife of George Hancock. I am looking for something to show they were these two people

Please study the attached and also cited genealogy of the Hancock family. What I don’t know is whether Mary Whitlock, daughter of George, also married Jones.

And the fact that there are more than one William Jones.
I find evidence of this William Jones and a Mary Whitlock.
I think we need another one or something that shows she married both men.
I am not disputing a Mary Whitlock married a George Hancock and they begat our Mary “Polly” Bunch But I am not convinced she is the half sister of Colonel George Hancock of Fotheringay

The Colonel Colonel George Hancock of Fotheringay has the wrong parents. He was son of a different George Hancock and Mary Jones. George who married Mary Whitlock has children

  • a) Matthew
  • b) Martha (married Willam Anderson)
  • Mary (married Paul Bunch)

Mary “Polly” Bunch will need merged back in/reconciled to her rightful position. Presently she is only attached as a wife in a disconnected tree. The husband on her profile Paul Bunch of North Carolina is showing as father of two children.
