I've been trying to trace Eliza "Dicy" Cook who married John Cook in about 1833. They are found in the 1850 census in DeKalb County Georgia, and then in Newton County in 1860 and 1870. John Cook is my 3G-grandfather. I have reasons to suspect he might have lived in Morgan or Putnam County in the 1820's and early 30's. There is rumor that "Dicy" Cook's maiden name was Babb, and the only Babb patriarch I find in the 1830 census is William Babb in Baldwin County. Information n his family seems incomplete--I was wondering if anyone has information--especially his Will--that might help clarify whether Eliza/Dicy was his daughter? She would have been born around 1810.
