If this is a photo of a man who died in 1834, it would be the oldest photo portrait ever. Who is it instead? Perhaps the son, John Hamm [Jr.]?

Well, it's up to the managers, - we have a source, and the world's first photograph is from 1826, so that cannot be used as an argument.
The world's first photo that contains people is from 1839, and they're barely even visible.
