Erica Howton, is she a daughter of Thomas Cockerill of Loudoun County as Wilbur Dean Cockrum has suggested?
The ages work...
Conflicting sources. Was he Cottrell or Cockrill or both?
Thomas Cockerill of Prince William County

This Thomas was born before 1710 according to Mike Marshall. Missing generations?

Erica Howton, thank you. Can you tell me what is going on here?: John Cockerill
son of Thomas Cottrell (Cockrell) and Thomas Cockrell ( Cockerille) and Elizabeth Ann Cockrell (Remey)
There was a LOT of activity/merges/changes on "my" Cockrum line

I see--- the one Thomas is a different generation. Actually a duplicate of his "son" but the other one has two sets of parents. Can you help?

I think the Cockrills are done.
These two: Thomas Cockerill of Prince William County Thomas Cockerill of Loudoun County remain and I was looking for WHO is this second Thomas so I searched for Nancy Ann Moss and found many DAR records/hints at Ancestry. She married the Reverend Moss mentioned/tagged herein
So I actually WAS able to work on it! lol I just had to separate myself from the equation and see what was needing to be done to correct what was wrong. Once I could narrow down the two Thomases, I just needed to figure out WHO the one with the Neale wife is... He might be a Cottrell... I do not know but I wonder how Nancy ended up being called Cockrell
IF he IS a Cottrell, that makes very much sense.
So then, is Nancy Ann Moss in the correct family? I can ADD the OTHER children from that site. But she is not on that list
I didn’t answer yesterday because I don’t know the answers.
But if you are asking if Nancy Ann Moss is the daughter of Thomas Cockerill of Prince William County & Deborah Cockerill - so far I do not think so.
But there is not nearly enough information on profiles for me to really evaluate. If the tree has not been corrupted since, Deborah Cockerill entered Deborah Cockerill, and from what I see that’s reasonable.
Sorry meant to tag Linda Kathleen Thompson, (c) - she’s the person who has Deborah Sanford.
I have no other knowledge.

Note: This is NOT the Thomas Cockrell born 22 OCT 1699 St Stephens Parish, Northumberland, Virginia; That Thomas married Deborah and died abt 1755 Prince William County, Virginia.

Thomas Cockerill was born in St Stephens Parish, Northumberland, Virginia, a son of John Cockerill and Elizabeth C. (Presley) Cockerill
I very much understand. I didn't think anyone was ignoring the post.
I definitely see the names are both on the old sites and profiles here and I know name pronunciation and spellings can change drastically so that is interesting... same as I am a Cockrum descendant and have no idea how that came from Cockerell...
For Nancy, I have a "feeling" she is on the wrong family as well.
Just trying to tie up these loose ends. And Thomas Cottrell and Lucretia Neale are the loose ends as far as I can discern
Thank you so much for all the work on these lines.
Thank you, Faustine, I will leave it at this:
Thomas Cockerill of Loudoun County separated from Thomas Cockerill of Prince William County and from John Cottrell of St. Stephen's Parish
Please feel free to re curate & re configure. I’ve added notes, but sources are very conflicted.
Andrew Cottrell of Northumberland County does have sources, so do his parents and brother John Cockerill of St. Stephen’s Parish
