Being too good to continue longer in this world she received, with resignation, her summons from its miseries for the reward of a glorious immortality Friday 12 of Adar 5621 corresponding to Feb. 22 1861 after a short illness at Acapulco, Mexico in the 25th year of her age where she was embalmed and subsequently brought to this city to her final resting place Friday, July 5, 1861.
This monument was erected by her most afflicted and most grateful husband as a feeble effort to do some justice to the best of wives and finally to impress that sense of her goodness so indelibly engraved on his heart.
