Jacob and Jacques were NOT the SAME SON.

Jacob was born 15 Aug 1695. Jacques was baptized 15 Aug 1700
Jacob is seen in public trees as Jacques James and the explanation is his name Jacques is Anglicized to Jacob.
Jacques is seen as Jacques James in some references/indexes so this is additionally confusing them but they are two different sons of the same parents.

They were christened Jacob and Jacques.
