Harriet's mother was my great grandmother. Harriet is the daughter of Archibald M Sinclair, who was b. 30 June 1860 Arthur Township, Wellington Co., Ontario, Canada I do not know how he came to know Anna aka Alice Snavely (Deets) in Ayr, Nebraska where they were seen holding hands in the street prior to Anna's divorce to Aaron L Snavely but they seem to have met in Ayr, Nebraska in the 1880's.
I was able to find Archie on the 1880 censes under the name :Archie Linclain (he was farming with his brother Robert). Anna's brother Aaron Deets (married to Fanny at the time) did not live very far away from Archie.
I do have a copy of the divorce decree from Aaron and Anna (Deets) Snavely dated 31 July 1884, Juniata NE. Anna however changed her name to marry Archie in 1881 Minnesota City, Winona County, Minnesota. The name Anna used, was Alice. She was known as Alice Sinclair the remainder of her life. While married to Archie Sinclair, they had a total of 6 known children. Harriet is the third child of Alice and Archie.

Harriet died 13 March 1970 Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
In 13 June1887 Aaron Aaron was part of Company F, First Nebraska. He re-enlisted for the Sioux Indian War ;1890 - 1891, he received a medal for his service.
