I think they might be 2 different people as 2 children were registered in 1868
The numbers are NOT sequential so not twins but maybe one born in February and the other in November

Thank you for the response Leanne. That is intriguing, as our family history has her 'real' name as Elira, who went by Laura. The hard copy book "The Rose Family of the Bellona" (relevance there are Buttsworths who married into the Rose family) has her as Elira (Laura) Volkhardt.
It seems that there may have been an 'Eliza' as well from what you say. I had Eliza's birth certificate down as Laura's, figuring it was a typo.
I haven't tried to merge tham as I don't have concrete evidence (and I don't know how!)
