Marion!
Hej Kirsten
Tak for dit indlæg. Opretteren af diskussionen skrev på dansk.
Jeg skrev høfligt og konkret, stilet til opretteren af diskussionen.
Venlig hilsen Lars

Hi Kirsten
Thank you for your post. The creator of the discussion wrote in Danish.
I wrote politely and to the point, addressed to the creator of the discussion.
Best regards, Lars

Has Hiromimarie’s replied to your question yet?
On Geni, not being a Manager does not mean you have any less right to edit a profile than any other Manager of the Profile has.
However, I understand you wanting to get the official word from the official authority.
If Hiromimarie has not yet answered your question, feel free to post the question in https://www.geni.com/discussions/245980 which is a Discussion to get help from Curators
Either
1) just ask the question there,
or
2) post the question, state when you asked Hiromimarie, tell them you have not gotten an answer, and ask what you should do.
(Over a month and a half to get a simple answer re: Geni's policy seems too long to me. Hopefully you got the answer long ago and you are not still waiting on it)
This has been a constant discussion with Hanna and a couple of others that think they have ownership above others on Geni. It is in fact also something that has been told them is the case. It is also what I write above in Danish. No one has more rights than others to a profile unless it is your immediate family or private sphere.
Anette Guldager Boye - re: "No one has more rights than others to a profile unless it is your immediate family or private sphere."
Geni has programmed in more rights over any profile in one's Max Family (except often those also a Geni user) - Max Family being those within the maximum one can set one's Family Group to - found in Account Settings under News & Notifications in "Family Group" (basically, back to third great grandparent, out to 4th cousin, and current spouse of each, but really plus a bit I have not digested yet)
I do not believe Geni has programmed in any more rights over one's immediate family than over anyone else in one's Max Family.
Are you aware of any?
I always follow the policy within my Max Family that whoever is more closely related has the right to make the decision when it comes to matters of taste - for example, if someone has gone by a variety of names, which goes in the Name Fields, which in AKA, is anything formally entered in Display Name -- there certainly can be a Public Discussion about this, but if a consensus cannot be reached, I will honor the wishes of the more closely related and I expect them to respect my wishes when it comes to my branch
But I do not know if Geni has any official policy about this or even about immediate family
Have you seen any place where Geni states an official policy with regard to immediate family? And if so, what definition do they give for "immediate family"?
I know, confusingly to me, by "close family" they mean "Max Family"
By "private sphere" as a place one has more rights - what do you mean?
