Perhaps Rachel is erroneously linked in this profile to John Perkins, Jr. (1609-1686) as result of 'Dawes-Gates Ancestral Lines: A Memorial Volume Containing the American Ancestry of Rufus R. Dawes, Vol. I' compiled by Mary Walton Ferris (1943), p. 488: "In June, 1673, JOHN2 bound himself to the town in the sum of £100 for entertaining Matthew Hooker, a Jersie man who was to become a tenant on a farm belonging to John ..."
