Is there a Geni Curator participating in this discussion who is able to answer Marja's question?

I understand. This is why we need the the Geni Curators who are in charge of the Profile in question to look into this. It is my understanding that the info contained on the profiles run by Geni Curators are thoroughly researched, but sometimes certain info may still be missing. It might be helpful if you gave any supporting documentation that you have to the Geni Curators who are in charge of the account in question and they can then update the account. That is the best I can suggest to be helpful. To do this you may need to message one or more of the curators directly.

"Marja Laine is your 7th cousin twice removed." - So pleased to meet you cousin! :)
I will review the link you have sent and see what can be done to help address your concerns. I myself don't have the authority to make any changes to Kaisa's profile. Only a Geni Moderator has that authority and ability. But I can certainly contact the moderators in charge of Kaisa's profile on your behalf if you like?

Give it time. the curators are volunteers and have full lives of their own. With so many pages and inquiries on this site I am sure it takes much of their valuable time... but they do eventually get it all done.

They close certain profiles of more illustrious people because unfortunately there are some less experienced members who do not do due diligence in ensuring the information they upload is accurate. Therefore the curators limit who can add info to the profile. Any info to be added must first be sent to the curators for them to verify the accuracy and then they add it to the profile in due time. It may be a slow process, but it ensures the best accuracy. And in fact that is what we want as paying customers, do we not? If you have not heard back from one curator after a few days, they may be in temporary hiatus. Try sending same message to all the other curators for the page in question. Someone will get back to you.

Yes I would agree with you on that. For sure. The only woman that I can recall seeing on this sight whom is given any credence to her skills and contribution to early Finnish society is one of my ancestors (and maybe yours too?), Margareta till Dalkarby.
In her records it states that after her husband passed away that she took on control of the family business and administration until her sons were of an age to take on the running of the business. Records however indicate that even after the sons were "of age" that she still had a lot of control and say over business proceedings... the boys were more the front men doing business according to her dictates until her passing. At least that is my understanding based on the various records I've found over the past couple of years since joining Geni.
As you know, n older times, it was a male dominated society. It was not considered normal or even lady like for a woman to be participating in any way in rolls that were traditionally the domain of men. And yet some women did still manage to influence and show leadership in many ways in spite of the societal dictates. Widows were the most likely to have any role in business and society in those times, as it was culturally acceptable for a widow to take over the business of her deceased husband until such time as she remarries... then the new husband was to take over the running of business and the woman is relegated back to being the housewife and barer of children. In Margaretta's case, when she remarried she remained in charge of the Til Dalkarby estate and all relevant business associated with it. And I think she was able to do that because her second husband was often away taking care of his other businesses and land holdings. By today's standards Margaretta and her Husbands would have been considered like "Power Couples"... they were among the wealthiest in the land, and had many dealings with the King of Sweden... if I recall correct they grew food for the Swedish Armies. Margaretta must have been a very well educated and savvy woman because she did have a lot of respect during her time. Of all my female ancestors, she is the one of which I am most proud (as you no doubt can tell). Her traits in personality and boldness runs in the women in my mom's side of the family for as many generations back as far as I have knowledge of. I believe we owe this to our illustrious female ancestor, Margaretta. I wish I could of known her in real life... but it's an honor to know I am at least descended from her. :)
