OK, I've looked around, and for standard French, "near" is "lès" (I had always thought it was "près", but perhaps as part of a name it's "lès"). In any case, it seems the operative language at the time was Picardie, where it is "Boussu-dlé-Mont". It appears to be only "Boossu".
