My ggg grandfather is Jozef Czappa 1847-1907 (father of August Czapp 1886-1962) I believe he emigrated to US in 1872 per Detroit census records. His parents are Johann Czappa and Catharina Elwart from Puck area. I am unable to find his immigration information to know if he lived elsewhere prior to Detroit as well as to confirm other details regarding his marriage to a Mary Bush (Busch). Is anyone familiar with the Jozef Czappa of my family?
