Patrick County, Virginia Superior Court of May 1828 Court case lists Verlinda widow of Malachi Cummings as alive. Court case was over land owned by her father and brother David.

Verlinda's father was James Taylor -whose will was probated in Patrick County, Virginia in 1807.
She and her husband Malachi (III) appear to have deeded some land to a Joseph Cummings around 1820. The said Joseph may have been the same man that married Susannah Corne around 1807.
