I have many source citations to add which will clear many things up. Over the next few days I will enter them. Most are transcripts of christenings, marriages, and burials from microfilms of Parish Records and Bishop Transcripts. The transcripts are at familysearch.org. Also, I could not find a source for John Boxall being "Sir John Boxall (died 1571) who was an English churchman and secretary of state to Mary I of England."

To add a source:
1 On appropriate profile page, half way down there are tabs and the 6th tab along (3rd from right) click on this.
2 At the right of the page you will find a little green circle with a white cross inside labelled "add source" click on this.
3 At the bottom left of this page you will find "add document" click on this.
4. There are three option tabs at the top. If you have the source saved on your pc then click the first tab which says "from your computer hard drive", If you have found a source online then you need to click the middle tab and if you want to record something from scratch then the third tab.
I would imagine the tab used most is the first.
Sounds like you've found some good sources. I hope these instructions are clear enough.

I wasn't sure about the "Sir" title howeSec. of state to Mary 1 then he quite probably was a "Sir"
I just found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boxall
and this
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Dictionary_of_National_Biography,_18...
Seems we are descended from a 'a person of great modestie and knowledge,'

Interesting.

The wiki links discuss a different John Boxall who died in 1571.

I have added a number of source into the geni family tree. There is an issue concerning the ancestors of Elizabeth Boxall (born Saunders, 1585-1662). The tree has inconsistencies with children being born after the birth of parents. A summary of the sources added which confirm the family tree surrounding John Boxall 1661-748) (except for the ancestors of Elizabeth Boxall (born Saunders, 1585-1662) follows:

Thomas Philps 1610-1635 (birth, death record in FamilySearch family tree)

John Frost 1663- (birth record in FamilySearch family tree)

Richard Boxall 1586- (Christening record)

Thomas Hardinge 1576- (Link to FamilySearch tree)

Elisbeth Hardinge 1605- (Christening record)
Elizabeth Boxall (born Saunders, 1585-1662) was born and died in Farnham, Surrey, England. The christening record shows William Saunders as the father of Elizabeth Saunders. Marriage records indicate that Elizabeth Saunders was married in Farnham, Surrey, England (United Kingdom). As of 2 November 2023 the geni familytree shows Alice Saunders (born Coles, 1585-1662) as the mother of Elizabeth Boxall (born Saunders, 1585-1662). There is no evidence that Alice Saunders was the wife of William Saunders, and none that she was the mother of Elizabeth Boxall.

Joan Hardinge 1569-1662 (Burial record)

Elizabeth Boxall 1585-1662 (born Saunders) (Christening and Burial records)

Richard Boxall 1612-1686 and Elizabeth Boxall (1585-1662) (born Saunders) (Marriage record)

Richard Boxall 1612-1686 (Christening and Burial records)

John Boxall 1635-1685 (Burial record)

John Boxall 1635-1685 and Elizabeth Philips (Philps) (1638-1702) (Marriage Record)

Richard Boxall 1612-1686 and Mary Boxall (1617-1688) (born Coomes) (Marriage Record)

"The tree has inconsistencies with children being born after the birth of parents."
I can see no inconsistencies. parents born 1586 & 1585. children bornafter their parents as is expected 1606 & 1612 There deaths are compatible with the parents dates as well

I think that the siblings of Elizabeth Boxall(Saunders) are pretty much wrong. Any with connections to the US should probably be separated.
