I have not seen the original (church) documents relative to Marie Rau. This research was done by others, and I have no reason to dispute it. I would say the following, however: Emilie is not a German name, whereas Amalia is. Also Saxony is vague while Hamburg is quite specific. I suggest not making any changes until the original birth entry can be seen.
