Wiki has this John's father as John rather than Robert but have Blanche as his mother, so I checked to see what other trees on Ancestry have (where I have my personal tree) and some have John as his father and others Robert. All have Blanche as his mother.

I wasn't able to find any other information as to whether his father's name was John or Robert other than this statement from Wiki may hold the key to the confusion:
"Unsourced profiles suggest he married Blanche Symond (b. 17 Feb 1620, Wilmslow - d. 15 Jan 1588, Wilmslow). However, other unsourced profiles suggest she may have been the wife of Robert Alred."
So it seems the problem is that people aren't certain if Blanche Symond was married to John or Robert Allred and the info has gotten mixed together. The only clear genealogy I've seen for this John is the info on Wiki listing his father as John because it lists all of father John's children, who may or may not be children of Blanche Symond. But this John who married Constance Higgenson is listed among the children of the father named John.
Unless someone has documentation that this John IS definitely the son of Robert Allred and wife Blanche, it seems best to disconnected this John as their child and use the info from Wiki to connect the father named John as his father and leave his mother unnamed unless documentation for who Blanche was actually married to and who her children were.
