My name at birth may have been Bobbie Jo Nelson not sure if that was my actual name at birth but that has always been the name i knew until i was adopted as a teenager then my named changed to Savanah Jo Cumming. I was in foster care since 1988 . Im not 100% sure but they do fit into my tree as they are linked thru potential grandparents but one or both may not actually be my bio parents. However their names are Robin Floyd Dearcos born April 14, 1955 and Judy Ann Mcmahan goes by the last name Nelson born December 26,1954.

I have done ancestry DNA. And have my dna uploaded to Gedmatch,my heritage, family tree dna, living dna, tell me gen, genomelink. From what I was told peoria illinois, i was adopted in peoria illinois.b

Hey Savanah (Adopted) Jo Cumming (Adopted), my dna matched with yours
(“Estimated Relationship: 4th or 5th Cousin. Overlap: 8.9 cM, Longest segment: 8.9 cM”)
I did a test on Ancestry— whats your Ancestry username?

I got a copy of my pre-adoption/original/unamended birth-certificate thru NYS. It included mother’s full name, dob, & address at the time of my birth. Along with a copy of the record of my adoption in a different county, and the whole amendment of my name & the switch-a-ru of parents.

My ancestry name is Savanah Echevarria. I also just mailed out my 23andme. What is your ancestry name

Weird thing is that my supposed uncle is saying he is my grandfather on genomelink. It states he tested on 23andme. So i purchased and mailed in my 23andme its is almost to 23andme. As soon as they give me my dna matches i will know more.

I want to clarify as i said he said . He didnt physically say it but genomelink has it listed as my grandfather . We share 1722.83 cm and its weird cause my aunt i share 1162.3cm and shes listed as my aunt. But again ill know more as soon as i get my 23andme results

My ancestry username is: heatherlizybeth93
I had dna matches w/ “McMahan” in their trees, but no “ Dearcos”. We only have one mutual dna match on here- & according to “How Are We Related?” feature— we’re related thru my maternal grandmother’s side.

I only share 1,696 cM w/ my Opa (my maternal Grandfather) on Ancestry— it originally stated he was another type of close relative, and i had to call Ancestry up😅 they originally had me convinced for a hot minute, that there was another secret scandal in the family😅😅😅..So..genetic inheritance can be weird w/ how the amount we inherit from each ancestor can vary so..

I haven't uploaded my dna to genome link yet- so i can’t really say for certain what that means.. But, if they’re (the dna test site) is suggesting it, and saying thats the amount y’all share— then i’m sure thats correct, or he’s damn close.
Unless they (like, a household) did a bunch of dna tests at once, and ended-up accidentally mixing-up the kit-#’s they registered w/ the ones they actually tested with..i had a confusing dna match situation like that once.

Yeah i get super confused with the cms shared as different dna sites state something different. Hopefully ill get better luck with 23andme. Which i just got the email they received my kit. So it could take up to March 12th before i get amy dna matches. There is some funny business going on in my tree and im going to solve this. Ive been a mystery case for a while now and really hoping to get some better matches with 23andme. And its funny as my supposed uncle is being pinged as my grandfather as i mentioned before and the grandparents i have on ancestry never took a dna test on ancestry and with that being said they are all deceased. Either one or both are not my bio parents which isnt shocking to me as i have always felt they were not my parents since i was little. But needless to say they are bad people and thats what put me into foster care and then eventually adopted as a teenager.

Any dna matches not amy. Sorry for typo

Ancestry said you werent one of my DNA matches— but GEDmatch matched.. 🤔
