I am new to this project (thanks to JM Vu) and wanted to introduce you all to a Bohemian Jewish plantation owner in Berbice, [[Wolfert Katz Wolfert Katz] Wolfert Katz.] He grew coffee. He had relationships with several Black women (some of them possibly enslaved) and had a number of children with them. I put all info I could find on his family tree. In one case, with the help of Erica Howton, I was able to trace the descendants to 1900. It would be great to be able to find some living descendants of Katz. I am a Holocaust historian and have no idea how to trace genealogy in Britain around 1830. If anyone does know, please help :)
