There are at least two Samuel Butlers. This son of a Samuel has a mother Patience Taylor. NSW BDM

There is a note in the "about" section on at least one of the profiles noting the issue. This James seems to be reg at Tenterfield in the tin boom. He has two siblings, Richard and Samuel, the family may move to QLD, according to MyHeritage, Patience goes on to have more kids.

Edith Catherine Butler was changed
From Patience R TAYLOR 1849-1915
to Edith Catherine FAGG 1866-1957
