James East arrived in Launceston at age 15. Is there any record of a land grant or early history of his activities?

Have you checked Libraries Tasmania - it has excellent coverage?
Also Trove might have articles too

Libraries Tasmania has reference to him for a town allotment in the Colonial Secretary correspondence 1824-1836

I am writing from Queensland about James East (Aguila 1824) I have no record of him until his marriage in 1831. I would be interested to know of any land grant or other activities. Note: He was only 15 years of age when arriving, so he must have required assistance.
My email address is petere44@gmail.com. Thanks Peter East (2x Great grandson.)

Have a look at his timeline - it includes newspaper accounts plus immigration info
