Although the 1931 Census of Canada has her name as May, and she was born on May 1, 1929, her obituary has her name as Mae, so that's what I'm going with here. Some voters lists have Mae, some have May - these are inconclusive and often unreliable; census info is also known to be unreliable. Obituaries are usually reliable.
