The link to Elen's birth/baptism record is for item #49, but the photo/image that has been saved in media is for item #39.
Where is the full image that includes item #39 ?
Richard

I found it and attached it to Elen's profile. Can somebody compare the two records and list the differences. I don't speak Norwegian. Thanks,

The Ministers book (written by the priest) has the no. 49 because the Ministerial book includes both the parishes of Vefsn and Mosjøen.

While the Copy book written by the Bell-ringer only includes the parish of Vefsn, hence no. 39.

Thank you Remi. Can you tell me what it says about the mother and particularly the father. He is my direct relative.
Richard Parry-Jones

I use the MInisterial book, no. 49.

Born 31. Jan. = January 31st 1856.
Baptized s. D. = samme Dato = same Date (12. Mai = May 12th.)
Name: Elen Petrine.
uægte = Born out of wedlock.
Foreldre / Parents: Enken / Widow Anne Christine Eriksd. / Eriksdatter Strøm, der udlagde som Barnefader Dreng / that told that the Father of the child was Servant Ole Olsen Aune af Alstahaug Præstegjeld / of Alstahaug Parish.
Next column is the childs witnesses. When the word "ib" is written it means that the farm they lived on is the same farm as the witnes written before, so all of them are living on the farm Strøm.
It's the mother herself that has told the priest that the child is born out of wedlock.
Last column have some remarks: Begges første Leiermaal. Angivet af Erik Nils. Strøm. / Both parents first child out of wedlock. This was told to the priest by Erik Nils. Strøm

Erik Nils. Strøm = Erik Nilssen Strøm and he is probably the father of the childs mother widow Anne Christine Eriksdatter Strøm.

Alstahaug is where the city Sandnessjøen on the coast west of Mosjøen, you can find Alstahaug church some kilometers south of Sandnessjøen.

Fantastic information. Thank you very much Remi.
I shall now try to find more information about "Servant Ole Olsen Aune af Alstahaug Præstegjeld / of Alstahaug Parish" as he is a direct relative of mine.
Are you related to the Nyland family?
Richard Parry-Jones

Nope, only a Norwegian genealogist helping out.
