I realize this is the incorrect forum for fixing errors in the Medieval tree. However, in tracing a pile of new profiles in the Medieval tree, I came across William Tyrwhitt, of Twigsmoor and Kettleby, MP son of Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, of Kettleby Robert's birth year is 1526; William's is "before 1531."

Something looks very off here.

The birth date of before 1531 originates from his History of Parliament Biography:

TYRWHITT, William (by 1531-91), of Twigmoor and Kettleby, Lincs.

Contrast with

From the profile for Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, of Kettleby who married Elizabeth Tyrwhitt

concerns

Do not confuse this Robert with his uncle Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, of Leighton Bromswall, MP who was a contemporary and also married an Elizabeth Oxenbridge.

family

Sir Robert Tyrwhitt of Kettleby (1526-November 16, 1581) was also at court. Many accounts confuse these two sets of Robert and Elizabeth Tyrwhitts, or try to combine them into one couple instead of two. The Tyrwhitts of Kettleby, however, have the distinction of having produced twenty-two children, all of whom are pictured on their tomb in Bigby, Lincolnshire.

Among them were: William (d.1591), Edward (1551-1577), Margaret (b.1552), Ursula (1553-1618), Marmaduke (d.1589), Goddard (b.1556), John (b.1557), Anne, George (b.c.1562), Mary, Robert (b.1565), Humphrey (1566-1579), Elizabeth, Frances (1572-1601+), and Roger (c.1573-1610).

The details of the HOP bio for William point to an older man for service, but are the same in terms of relationships.

Birth dates are always problematic before birth records.

Thoughts?

The daughter Margaret appear to have different husbands

Susan, do you have sources, please?

Margaret Frissell detached as child of William Tyrwhitt, of Twigsmoor and Kettleby, MP & Elizabeth Trywhitt

There's no evidence in the Frissell / Frizell tree that she was a Tyrwhitt, and vice versa.

If there are sources to show her ancestry, she can be re attached.

This is resolved.
