It is very strange, but I really have lost connection to Merge Issues 6

Have anyone an opinion - how comes

It was time to start a Merge Issues 7, - had actually planned to do it to day....

But this discussion started by you will only be visible for your collaborators until someone like me have posted anything in it, so here we go:

@Gunther--you may have inadvertently clicked on "Unfollow" which will remove a discussion from your view. This is not clearly indicated and can cause problems when you actually want to be able to read a discussion but don't want to get the emails in your inbox. I just discovered that to stop the emails but not "Unfollow"--go to your Settings/Notifications and un-check the item about receiving notifications when someone posts on your "tree discussions." Again, this is a real lack of clarity of language from Geni. I'm a seasoned pro at Geni but I couldn't figure out how to do this. Good luck!

Bjorn, I thought ANYONE could see a public discussion, not just collaborators? I think that just collaborators receive an email with the opening thread.

Again, a true lack of clarity on Geni's part about how these things work.

Anyone can see them, but they only get listed in your Public Discussions list when a collaborator or family group member have started it, been linked to or have posted something there.

I think you can be happy that all public discussions in Geni are not listed and reported in your in-box ;-)

Please do not try and merge profiles managed by Michael Gillven or Billie Key. These persons have lots of profiles on Geni but they are not active and will never approve any merges. Whenever I get these requests , I simmply unmerge them. As a max I had 130 profiles depending on approval from these to persons.
