Mr. Phelps was a farmer in Hebron, Ct., where he died. He served in the Revolutionary War, was in the Lexington Alarm eighteen days, later enlisting in Col. Sage's Regiment, Capt. Ellis's Co., in 1776. They were serving in New York and Long Island.
