(Deacon) Aaron Stone (son of Jehiel Stone and Ruth White) was born October 21, 1741 in Guilford, New Haven Connecticut, and died January 07, 1821 in North Madison, New Haven, Connecticut.He married (1) Abigail Coe.He married (2) Lois Dudley on September 22, 1760 in North Madison, New Haven, Connecticut, daughter of David Dudley and Mary Tallman.

Aaron served in the American Revolution.He served as a Corporal in Capt. Noble Benedict's 6th Company, 5th Regiment, commanded by Col. David Waterbury.He enlisted 24 May 1775 and was discharged 13 October 1775.This regiment recruited mainly in Fairfield County, Connecticut.His second record of service from "Connecticut Men in the War of the Revolution" 1889, published by the Adjutant General lists Aaron Stone as Corporal in Capt. Daniel Hand's Company of Guilford, Connecticut in Col. Talcott's Regiment enlisted 22 March 1776 service on the New York Expedition, discharged 18 April 1776.

Aaron was Deacon of the Congregational Church of Bristol (now North Madison) from 1796 to 1821.From a record of Timothy Munger, (society clerk), two pews on the west side of the south door were built by Philemon French, Timothy Munger, Aaron Stone, Daniel Dudley, Phineas Johnson, and Miles Munger. The cost of the pews was eighteen shillings and six pence per man.The pews, resembling pens were square with a seat around the inside.Until 1826 seating was according to age and amount of property.
