"Death Claims Mrs. Burrows ~ Mrs. Abbie Sarah Kimball, Burrows, 75, youngest daughter of Heber C. Kimball, died at 9:45 a.m. today at the home of her son, Jesse K. Burrows, 2146 South State Street, of causes incident to age (Myocarditis ~ Source: Death Cert.). A native of Salt Lake, she was born Jan. 15, 1868. Her parents were Heber C. Kimball, prominent in early history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Mary Smithies Kimball. For 60 years she was a Relief Society teacher in the old Farmer and Burton Wards, and for 20 years she had been an ordinance worker in the Temple. She was the widow of Jesse B. Burrows, who died (June 5) 1927. Mrs. Burrows resided at 2389 Third East Street. She was the mother of two sons, one of whom survives her. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Rosalia Edwards and Mrs. Alice Kay Smith of Salt Lake; three brothers, Samuel and Albert Kimball of Salt Lake, and Hyrum Kimball of Raymond, Alberta, Canada and six grandchildren."
Funeral services were held February 25th at 12:15 p.m. in Burton Ward Chapel, 55 East Twenty-fourth South street. Friends were invited to the residence of her son, Jesse K. Burrows, on Wed. Feb 24th and Thursday until 11:30 a.m.
