About Abdul Karim Choudhury
A news item published in the weekly "Jugobheri" of Sylhet in its issue of 15 January 1934 states that Abdul Karim Chowdhury of Purbabhag, Bhadeswar expired on 6 January 1934 at the age of 89.
In the same issue there is another news of the death of Khan Bahadur Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury of Ghyasnagar, Chautali, Maulvi Bazar, together with a separate life sketch. He was the father of Moinuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, MLA, Assam, who worked closely in politics with my father. He died in 1959 at the age of 51.
Recently, I happened to visit the Chautali Choudhury Bari and found this issue of Jugabheri, which has been preserved by the family along with other historic documents. Juned 24/1/09
