Abigail Pitts

Abigail Richmond (5), daughter of Hon. William Richmond married Captain Peter Pitts, of Dighton, MA., in 1764. They had eleven children born in Dighton. Captain Pitts, along with Deacon George Codding b. 1734 in Taunton, MA., formed the Dighton Company to survey and purchase land in Central New York State. They were amongst the first settlers of Pittstown (now Honeoye, N.Y.) and Bristol, N.Y., and long time friends. Captain Pitts was one of the first pioneers of Ontario County. His children include: Gideon,

William, Samuel, Peter, Abigail, Philip, Rebecca, NANCY, Hannah, Phebe, and Sarah.
