Abisha Stetson

Additional info from "The Descendents of Cornet Robert Stetson", publ 1956 by the Stetson Kindred of America. Vol 1, No 3, pg 18 says: "Abisha Stetson, son of John and Abigail (Crooker) Stetson, b. May 20, 1738 (Pembroke Rec); d. Jly 3, 1777, age 39 yrs (East Brewster Rec). He m. Sarah Crooker on Apr 15, 1761 in Pembroke.

Abisha resided in Pembroke, later moved to East Bridgewater. He was a pioneer in the iron industry.
They had seven children: Abisha b. 1764, Molly, Abigail, Jonathan, Sarah, Abisha b. 1773 and Bethiah, all born between 1762 and 1776."

While Abisha is buried in East Bridgewater, the Stetson Kindred reference to his death lists the source as East Brewster Records. East Brewster, out on Cape Cod, is quite a distance from his home in Bridgewater.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Nov 13 2022, 4:25:12 UTC
