Children: Elizabeth (Lizzie), James Albert, Willie T, Mabel Ann, Esburn Edmond, Abner Everett, Ethlyn R, Laura M, Relva C. He died on 23 Mar 1917 in Houlton, Maine.

Esbun served in the Civil War as a Corporal in Company E, 19th regiment, Maine Infantry, and 6th Maine Regiment, for 3 years, from 6 Aug 1862 to 6 Feb 1863.
