<p>Marriage: The witnesses to the marriage were Peter Andrews,his</p><p><p>Marriage: Death: Pneumonia</p></p><p><p>Death: informant wa S.J.Andrews of Camberwell</p></p><p><p> History: þ ABRAHAM JOHN ANDREWS 1851 - 1904 </p></p><p><p>Abraham John or "Jack" as he was known was the third last child born</p></p><p><p> Abraham and Sarah Andrews. He married Alice Maria Puxty and they</p></p><p><p>had twelve children, the last,Frances Pearl,being born 3 weeks after</p></p><p><p> the death of her father. "Jack" passed away after a severe bout of</p></p><p><p> pneumonia at the age of 53 years. "Jack" was a carrier and carter in</p></p><p><p>the Singleton District and had two waggons and teams of horses and</p></p><p><p>carried goods from Singleton to as far north as Tamworth. In latter</p></p><p><p> years he was a well known dairy farmer in the Mt. Olive area and his</p></p><p><p> advice was sought by other farmers in the District. There were twelve</p></p><p><p> children in the family,6 boys and six girls. The eldest child and boy</p></p><p><p> Frederick William died at the age of 15 months and three of the</p></p><p><p>surviving sons served in the AIF in World War I. The six daughters all</p></p><p><p>married and had families and almost all moved away from the Singleton</p></p><p><p>District with their husbands apparently to find work. The 5 boys all</p></p><p><p>reared families and followed mainly farming interests in the Hunter</p></p><p><p>Valley and surrounding areas. Abraham John "Jack" is buried at the</p></p><p><p>cemetery at the St. Clements Church Camberwell,the same place as his</p></p><p><p> parents Abraham and Sarah Andrews. His son Frank Andrews who was 12 years of age at the time of his death was not permitted by his</p><p>employer to attend the funeral.þÿ</p>
