    Daniel Gilliland was born on 1 September 1765 at Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was the son of John Gilliland and Leah Sperling. Daniel Gilliland married Mary Pardun on 3 August 1786 at Cranbury, Middlesex County, New Jersey. On July 24, 1833, Daniel appeared in the Court of Common Pleas for Meigs County, Ohio to apply for a military pension, under the Act of Congress, June 1832, for his service in the Revolutionary War. After his death, his widow Mary applied for a pension, under the Act of Congress passed July 7, 1832. The complete 66 page pension file is attached.Daniel Gilliland died on 5 October 1838 at Meigs County, Ohio, at age 73. He was buried at Bentz Cemetery, Meigs County, Ohio. Gilliland married Polly Chapin on 23 July 1826 at Meigs County, Ohio. Abraham P.
