• From 1827 on he lived in Dannenberg. He learns the banking business in the company Israel Isaak Marcus Mansfeld and takes over the bank after the death of the company boss. From July 1845 he is a citizen of Dannenberg. In October 1856 he receives civil rights in Uelzen. He buys a house in the Gudestraße 152. In 1860/61 he owns a brickyard in Kirchweyhe. In December 1864 he lives in Uelzen, street: Vor dem Bärentore 450 (later Bahnhofstraße). Leaves Uelzen 1866. See Woelkens et al., Beiträge', p. 134.
• Abraham Bresslau emigrated to the United States in 1866 and became an editor at the New York State Newspaper after the family had lost all of its assets following the annexation of Hanover after the German War.
