I. Jacob Wismer, (...) was born in Germany about 1684, and died in Bedminster Township, Bucks Co., Pa., Feb. 4, 1787 in his one hundred and third year.

The children of Jacob and Nanny Wismer, as near in the order of birth as could be placed were: ---Jacob, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Henry, Mark, Daniel, John, Christian, Nanny, Abraham.

II. Henry Wismer, bn. in Bucks Co., Pa., about 1730; died ---. Mrd. Barbara Lederach in 1754. The children of Henry and Barbara Wismer are as follows: Jacob, Abraham, Annie, Maria, Henry, Joseph, Christian, Esther, John, Elizabeth, Samuel, Barbara.

III. Abraham Wismer, bn. in Bucks Co., Nov. 5, 1756; died in 1844, aged 87 y. 3 m. 27 d. Mrd. Veronica Myers, —. She was bn. Apr. 3, 1757; died about 1818. Mrd second wife Mary, a widow of Detweiler (maiden name Freed). Farmer. Menn. ch. He was the third owner of the Wismer homestead. During the Revolutionary war, his father's teams were pressed into service by the Americans, and Abraham was sent along as teamster, more to take good care of and return the teams. In 1783 Abraham Wismer and one Martin Lowry buried the remains of the notorious outlaw, Moses Doane, who was shot along the Tohickon, on a farm adjoining the Wismer homestead. Mr. Wismer often referred to the mournful appearance of the procession to the grave, composed of a few neighbors, two females, and a small dog. The women wept bitterly, and the dog showed his grief by stepping to the edge of the grave and looking into it. Children: Henry, Samuel, Isaac, Barbara, Catharine, Veronica, Abraham, Elizabeth, Esther.
