The Frasers of Benacadie are descendants of John Fraser, who came from the mainland of Scotland and settled at Cape Mabou, Inv. Co. He was married to a McDonald woman.
Issue:— John, Simon, Sandy, Donald, Ronald, Maggie, Peggie and Moicy.
John settled at Cape North, and married Teresa, daughter of Donald McInnis (Saor), Benacadie. Issue: — Flora, John, Simon, Donald, Sarah, Mary, and John.
o John settled at Benacadie on a part of his grandfather's estate, and married Mary Ann, daughter of John McNeil (Big), Piper’s Cove. Issue: — Sarah, Teresa, Malcolm, Rachel, Margaret, Bessie, Michael, John, and Donald.

John McNeil (Hector) was commonly known among his friends as “Iain Mor a Chobhe." He settled at Piper’s Cove and was married twice. His first wife was a Miss Gillis, from Irish Cove. She left two daughters, one of whom married a McDonald, of Irish Cove. His second wife was Sarah McNeil, of Gillis Point. Issue: — Malcolm, Hector, Donald, John Donald, Ambrose, Ann, Sarah, Rachel, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, and Mary.
