Hon. Eva Isabella Henrietta Hanbury-Tracy was born on 25 January 1869 at London, England. She was the daughter of Charles Douglas Richard Hanbury-Tracy, 4th Baron Sudeley of Toddington and Ada Maria Katherine Tollemache. She married Henry Torrens Anstruther, son of Lt.-Col. Sir Robert Anstruther of Balcaskie, 5th Bt. and Louisa Maria Chowne Marshall, on 24 August 1889.3 She died on 19 June 1935 at age 66.

From 24 August 1889, her married name became Anstruther.2 She was Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1918.
