Adam shows up in the 1900 census of Lee County Va with 5 children and his mother in law Peneapy Burchett living in his home.

On the same page is a John "Couch" (1861)with a wife and 3 children and James Clouse 1868 with a wife and 4 children. I believe these to be more children of Adam.

in 1900 Adam's wife was already dead so the census does not state how many children Adam has. that was only posted for women.
