Adam left Kemi Finland during a potato famine and moved to Alta, Norway with his family. His daughter Katherine married Hans Johnsen. Adam and the rest of the family returned to Finland.
Don't be disturbed by the Jaska last name. The common people in Finland back then did not have permanent surnames. They had last names that were based on the farm where they were living at the time, and when they moved their last name changed. Evidently their last name was Jaska before it became Mansikka.
We know from Adam's patronymic name (Adamsson) in the above records that his father's given name was Adam. There is a birth record that could be that of Adam, as follows.
