About Adelaide Margaret Fish
Adelaide Margaret Smith Fish was the daughter of Jesse Nathaniel Smith and his first plural wife, Margaret Fletcher West Smith, who was the sister of his first wife, Emma Seraphine West Smith. Her mother, Margaret, died in 1964 when she was just 7 years old. She and her brother, Joseph West Smith, were cared for by their aunt, Emma Seraphine, after her mother's death. At the time of her mother's death, her father was in Denmark on a mission for the LDS church. On May 1, 1876, Adelaide married Joseph Fish in Salt Lake City. They were the parents of three boys: Horace Nathaniel, Silas Leavitt and Joseph Smith, but they later divorced. She died at the age of 70 years old in 1927 due to a possible skull fracture as a result of a street car accident, and was buried in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, in Salt Lake City, Plot: Section Glendale 144, 5 West. There is another photo under the Media Tab depicting Margaret when she was older, along with a copy of her Utah death certificate. She was my 1st cousin 3x removed, but sadly I never met her because she died 24 years before I was born.
GEDCOM Note
